Jimmy Carter was one of the worst presidents in history, probably toppled by President Obama. They have done nothing to make America stronger. Liberal idealism doesn't make America stronger. It makes us weaker and the state of today's America is an example of it. You and I can argue politics all we want but like I said, history shows you that socialism, liberalism, etc doesn't work.

Winning the Cold War was bad for us? lol really? It's that kind of statement that shows people just how bad your perceptions are. Thanks to us winning the Cold War, people can ease their fear of losing the world to Nuclear War. Frankly, I think we should withdraw from every country in the world and keep all our resources here. The only time we should ever interact with other nations is economically. If someone attacks us, we kick their ass and come back home. That's what George Washington wanted. And one way we can help to escape our financial mess.

Ron Paul 2012.

Actually Socialism has been proven to work. Communism fails, but countries with socialist policies have a higher quality of life than us. People have been declaring Obama the worst president ever since before he even took office. A statement proclaiming him the worst in history does nothing but make the person asserting the claim look ignorant and childish.

During the cold war, our status as a superpower was cemented, because there were two teams to pick from, and our team needed us to be #1, so they unconditionally supported us. Now that there is no enemy, our status as a superpower is threatened more than it has ever been before. We can't ease our fear of a nuclear holocaust, because now Russia has hundreds of un-accounted for Nukes. If anything, we are MORE at risk of nuclear attack. Isolationism is a policy a superpower cannot afford. If you are so Isolationist, why do you love Ronald Reagan so much? IRAN CONTRA. That was the exact opposite of isolationism.

George Washington wanted us to be isolationist, but he also lived in a time when we were nowhere near the dominant power on earth. Now that we are, if we want it to stay that way, we need to get involved sometimes.

I'm sorry but people's liberty's come before socialism. President Obama is one of the worst in history, his shitty track record speaks for itself.

I never said Reagan was perfect, but he was definitely one of the best presidents of the last century. and No, we are not 'more at risk' for a Nuclear attack. Say that to the people who lived during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the various other "near-points" of nuclear launch.

Who says we can't be isolationists? We have no responsibility to anyone else. We don't answer to anyone else. We're capable of handling any threat on this planet. Every nation on this planet has the right to self-determinate. If they choose to interfere with our sovereignty, we'll destroy them and then return back home. It's too damn easy.
