Lieutenant Kori Buor walked down the long, busy, corridor. He passed a group of Junior Grade Lieutenants discussing naval tactics. He continued walking down the grey corridor glancing only briefly out the viewports of the space station. Outside a fleet of warships waited, some on patrol, some docked to the refit yards. He checked his chrono, 0758. Right on time. He took a right at an intersection continuing down the people filled corridor past the plants and the benches. Past the offices of lower ranking Navy officials. He was on his way to see an Admiral.

He turned left at the next T-intersection. He took ten steps forward passing through a doorway and stopping in front of a desk. The secretary looked up at him and smiled.

"Hello," she said with a smile.

"Hello, Lieutenant Buor for Admiral Cullen," Kori stated formally.

"Ah yes, the Admiral will see you momentarily," the secretary replied. "Have a seat, it will just be a second."

Kori nodded and sat down in the nearby seat. He looked around the small office. The overhead light provided adequate lighting for the small room. There were two small plants in each corner of the room. The blonde secretary quickly typed away at her console. She stopped a minute pausing to listen to her earpiece.

"You may see the Admiral now," the secretary stated looking up at Kori. Kori stood and nodded. He straightened his khaki jacket and stepped into the Admiral's office.

He snapped to attention and saluted as soon as he entered the office.

"Sir!" Kori snapped.

"At ease," the Admiral replied without looking up. Kori spread his stance and relaxed. The Admiral relaxed in his chair and looked up at the Lieutenant. "You are here to get your next assignment I gather."

"Yes sir," Kori confirmed.

"Well you're in luck Lieutenant, there has been a recent opening on board the Triumphant. Do you know the ship?" Admiral Cullen asked in his deep, scratchy, voice.

"I do sir," Kori replied. Triumphant was a heavy frigate that was relatively new. He had heard of its exploits against rebels in the Mid Rim. It seemed to have an infamy for putting down rebellions before they really started.

"Good, that is where you are to be stationed for the next tour," Cullen stated. He looked at his datapad where the logs of the ship were displayed. "They just returned from a border dispute and are down a junior officer. You are going to take his place under Captain Lucas."

"Yes sir," Kori replied.

"Make no mistake, Captain Lucas is a hardass looking for a way up the ladder. Be careful who you trust, he is ambitious, perhaps too ambitious for his good. I'm placing you on that ship because you're level headed and you might be the kind of counterweight we need."

"I will do my best sir," Kori stated firmly.

"I would expect nothing less, especially from you," the Admiral smiled. "You are to report to the Triumphant at 1300. You are dismissed."

"Sir, thank you sir!" Kori saluted. The Admiral returned the salute. Kori about-faced and exited the office.

Shore Leave Empty Re: Shore Leave

Kori sat in one of the passenger seats of the shuttle taxing him to his new post. Kori looked out the forward viewport at the Triumphant. The frigate was a longer, larger, version of the Foray-class blockade runner. At 350 meters the Triumphant was a Harbinger-class Heavy Frigate, mass produced as a way of securing planets and trade routes. The overall design of the Triumphant was very similar to any Foray-class, with large thrusters at the stern and a long rectangular body extending forth. The main differences besides the size was the addition of a small hanger capable of carrying a squadron of light interceptors and shuttles on it's ventral side, a dorsal mounted mass driver, and a trapezoidal protrusion amid ship that had two light turbolaser and two ion cannon turrets. (OOC: If anybody wants a more indepth description of any ship I make up just PM me and at the very least I'll give you a more detailed description or a sketch)

Kori watched as the shuttle pulled up to the ship and enter it's cramped hanger. Overhead the interceptors hung in racks that lowered onto the deck when being deployed. The shuttle touched down on the hanger deck and the ramp descended. Kori walked out briskly looking around at the deckhands who had stopped what they were doing to see who had arrived. An older Lieutenant and a Crew Chief stood nearby awaiting him.

OOC: I'll finish this later, I have to go to the store I guess... Mad

Kori stepped off the shuttle and the two men saluted. Kori returned their salute.

"Lieutenant Kori Buor reporting for duty," Kori stated strongly.

The taller of the two men chuckled. "Not to us you're not. Lieutenant Brek Forester, XO," the Lieutenant introduced himself with a humble smile. "And this is our crew Chief Marcus Ragnul."

The short, yet muscular man nodded. "It's a pleasure to have a Buor on board, sir. My uncle knew your father, they served during the insurrection. He has only good tales to tell of him."

"I am pleased to hear this," Kori smiled.

"The Chief and I are here to show you around the ship. The Chief's crew will take your affects to your cabin. We'll show you the way," the Lieutenant extended his arm and ushered Kori forward. Kori nodded and moved in between the two men as a few of the Chief's crew hustled onto the shuttle and grabbed Kori's belongings.

"So, how's the ship?" Kori asked.

"Well as an officer she handles well," Forester replied. "The Triumphant is only a few years old but has seen a decent amount of time during its few years."

"Have you been here the whole time?" Kori inquired as they walked out of the hanger and into the bowls of the ship.

"No no," Forester laughed. "I've only served on this ship for a year now. I've seen some action during boarder disputes and the like. Nothing serious of course."

"And what does an enlisted man think of the ship?" Kori asked the Chief.

"She takes care of easily enough," the Chief replied. "That's not to say that my crew doesn't have their hands full keeping her running though. These new ships are produced so fast that there are a darkspawn of inherent problems. We've been able to take care of them though. The worst was on this ship's first shakedown though."

"I take it you were here from the start then?" Kori waited as the Lieutenant signaled the turbolift.

"Aye, sir. I've been here since this girl was christened."

The doors opened and they walked inside. The Lieutenant pressed the button for deck 3. The lift started moving.

"The Triumphant is fast and sturdy though," Forester commented. "And her armament will be enough to deter any small time pirates or local security forces."

"That's good to hear," Kori nodded. The lift doors opened and they stepped out into a pristine white hallway. Forester led the way down the corridor.

"These are the officers berths. You will be quartered on this level," Forester stated.

"Very well, what section of the ship is this?" Kori asked as they continued down the corridor.

"This is section two, section one is for weapon systems and damage control," the Lieutenant stated flatly. "The next three decks below us from section five to section eight are the knuckledragger's berths. You should only go down there if your ordered."

The trio stopped at a door on the left hand side. "This is your room sir," the Chief said. "Room 317"

"Thank you, Chief," Kori nodded. The Lieutenant pressed in the access code on the number pad and the door opened with a quiet hiss. Kori walked inside the room. There was a bed place in a nook in the wall and the rest of the room was bare with the exception of a small table in the middle of the room. It provided ample space and a private refresher in the back corner. A small closet was opened next to the bed area. "If you please Chief, I will have my belongs placed in here and I will take care of setting the room up."

The Chief nodded. "Aye aye, sir."

"Thank you, Chief."

"Well sir, if you are satisfied," Forester stated after Kori had a minute to look around his cabin. "We shall proceed with the rest of the tour."

Kori nodded. "Yes, I would like to know the ship I'm working on."

Forester exited the room with Kori while Ragnul stayed behind to direct his crew.

Shore Leave Empty Re: Shore Leave

Kori's tour finished on the bridge. He entered with Lieutenant Forester. He looked around the small room. It was cramped with several consoles and tactical displays. Kori looked to see the Captain standing in front of his chair in the center of the room near the front. Forester escorted him forward pointing out the weapons station, shields, damage control, operations, navigation, tactical, life support, engineering, and of course the con. Kori looked at the wide viewport of the bridge.

Forester stopped in front of the Captain and saluted. Kori saluted as well.

"Captain," Forester stated.

The Captain returned the salute. "Lieutenant, I take it this our new recruit."

"Lieutenant Kori Buor reporting, sir!" Kori stated.

The Captain smiled. "I'm Captain Lucas. Glad to have you on board. We are about to be underway, we're just waiting for our last passenger. Lieutenant Forester you may see to your station."

"Yes, Captain," Forest saluted and moved off to another part of the bridge.

"Passenger sir?" Kori inquired.

"Yes, the Admirality has ordered us to escort a Jedi to Ossus where we will pick up another Jedi for our diplomatic missions," Lucas said grudgingly. "Seems like a damn waste of time if you ask me."

"Sir," Kori replied. "What are my orders?"

"You will be my third in command. I actually want you to go down to the hanger once the Jedi comes aboard. Bring the Jedi here, I'll take care of the formalities and what not," the Captain responded.

"Sir, the frigate Respondent is signalling that she has been instructed to escort us to Ossus," the Communications Officer stated.

The Captain shook his head. "Very well."

Kori looked out the window at his old post. The Respondent was 300 meter long fast frigate. It boasted only minimal weaponry but fast engines. The Respondent was a Protector-class Light Frigate produced be CEC for inception and interdiction duties(Think of an oversized Consular-class ship with some guns).

"Sir, the Jedi's shuttle is about to come aboard," the Flight Officer stated.

"Very good," Lucas stated. He turned to Kori. "You know your orders."

He waved Kori away as he saluted. He turned and exited the bridge. It took him a few minutes to find his way to the hanger. He entered the hanger to see the Jedi's shuttle touch down on the hanger deck. The ramp lowered and a female Jedi with almost pure white skin and hair step off. She had silver colored robes that complimented her completely white skin. Kori hadn't seen anything like it before.

He stepped up to her and gave a humble bow. "Jedi Master, welcome aboard the Triumphant. May I take your things?"

"No, I can manage," the Jedi replied firmly and quickly. "And I'm not a Master, I'm a Knight. Jedi Knight Athena Mikdessa."

"My apologies," Kori said. "This way to the bridge."

Kori led the Jedi Knight to the bridge. He was surprised how tall she was, easily as tall as him in his boots. He brought her to the bridge and introduced her to the Captain. After formalities that Captain announced they were prepared to jump to hyperspace bound for Ossus and that they would arrive there shortly.

Kori watched as his new and old posts jumped into hyperspace together.
