Arrival of the Sith

A Republic transport entered the Coruscant system. The stolen Republic Transport freighter carrying at least a hundred Sith on board, massking their darkside presence to avoid any Jedi suspicion.

Their shuttle had been cleared by local security forces and their ship began to make way towards Coruscant. The space around the planet becoming more crowded with ships as they drew closer.

Darth Sidus then said on board, "Strike Team Charlie. You will be dispatched to assassinate as many of the Republic Senators as you can. You will also be on the planet the longest. Once we drop you off, you have your mission and you are on your own until you return to Korriban."

He then turned his attention to another portion of the crew deck and said, "Strike Teams Bravo and Alpha, we are going to attack the Jedi temple at two seperate entry points. We will land at seperate locations and make our way to the temple, converging on them. This transport will continually fly casually with traffic so as to not draw attention and await our word for pick-up. Understood?"

With a silent nod and several cheers, they understood. Strike Team Charlie had only 6 Sith within it while the other two teams split the remaining 102 amongst themselves.

No sooner had they been briefed, they entered the atmosphere.....

The Republic transport drew closer towards the Senate Building. The members of congress were off but either way, the assassin's would carry out their orders as planned, even if it had to wait days, weeks or months. Flying past the massive hall, several blocks away from the Senate district, the transport pulled off and landed in a local parking lot, it unloaded it's cloaked cargo and then proceded toward the Jedi temple.

The transport dropped off the first strike team outside the Force Nexus surrounding the land around it. They would make their way towards the Temple. The Trasnport lifted off and in a large semi circle, flew to the other side of the temple, outside the Force Nexus and dropped off the remaining strike team, "Continue to fly casually until you get my signal. If you see any signs of reinforcements from the Republic, let me know." said Darth Sidus as he stepped off.

The group then slowly dispersed, heading for the temple. Like a pack of raptors hunting their prey, they quickly surrounded the temple, soon to converge on it.

A small group had followed Darth Sidus as he proceded up the steps to the Jedi temple. The Jedi guards pointed their weapons in an attempt to stop them but were silenced and suffocated by the Force choke of several Sith. Darth Sidus virtually ingoring them as he stepped into the temple. He could sense the other team approaching by the other entrance. They stopped and were soon face to face with a small group of Jedi.

"Who are you? What is your purpose here?" said a Knight with several Knights and Padawans behind him, all with suspicious looks upon their faces.

Darth Sidus removed his hood and stared into the eyes of those he was about to slaughter. The Jedi began to see the hate and anger in his soul as they no longer hid their presence.

"We are Sith! And we are your destruction!" Sidus yelled as a burst of Force Lightning emitted from his hands, the remaining Sith attacked simultaneously, charging at the Jedi who hadf felt overwhelmed but still reached for, grabbed, and ignited their lightsabers......

Master Uriel Kelevra had only just returned to his room. He had felt refreshed from his previous days training in the practice cages and was prepared for another, when suddenly he felt a powerful dark presence. Whatever it was was incredibly close, and it felt uncomfortably familiar to him. Then he recognised it. This was the feeling he got when he found his friends slain, but it was much stronger now. The day he had warned them about had come. Whatever had killed his friends was making its move now.

He quickly got dressed in simple sparring robes to go investigate when an alarm sounded. There was a clamor outside of his door, and he rushed to the door.

As he stepped into the long hallway Kaiser ran past him. The young Jedi had a look of panic on his face as Uriel grabbed his arm to stop him.

"What is going on?" he said, more demanding than asking

"It's... Master, they're everywhere. Twisted creatures, some kind of Dark Jedi, dozens of them!"

"Compose yourself!" He said, quickly calming the young warrior. " get the younglings and padawans in the inner sanctum and tell Master Aldaana of the situation. Find Blitz and Baysingh and any other Jedi you can muster and get to the main entrance."

Kaiser gulped and shook his head in acknowledgement, understanding the importance of his task. He sprinted off to follow the Master's orders and left Uriel to think.

Before he could even head toward the entrance hall he spotted one. A dark figure in all black robes leapt through a window from the courtyard. a Red lightsaber flahsed in his hands as he slashed Samrol Crae in half. The poor padawan never even had achance to ignite his saber. Samrols' master, Kita Morso ignited her green saber and charged the tall figure. He rushed to help her, but before he could get to her the dark form and bloked her attack and stabbed her in the gut. She collapsed to the ground, quite obviously dying, as Uriel ignited his saber and attacked. The man in black turned to face him, a smug look on his face as he took a stance, but it was clear he was not prepared for the fury Uriel brought with him.

he attacked like lightning, but the man in black managed to block his attacks with unorthodox manuevers and strange twists. After roughtly a minute of fighting Uriel got inside his guard, hacking off his hands. The man grunted in pain, and as the man stumbled backward he slashed him across the chest, opening a gaping wound. The figure collapsed as Uriel turned to tend to Kita, but it was too late. The knight was dead.

He rushed toward the entrance, finding anarchy in his path. There were bodies everywhere. He looked across the chaos and saw a few corpses of the dark intruders, but far more were those of Jedi.

Chaos erupted across the the main entrance hallway. dozens of Jedi and Sith were engaged in combat, fighting over bodies of the deceased. One Jedi had been slain by the hands of a Sith, another Sith was struck down by a Jedi.

Darth Sidus was amongst the orders most powerful Sith. He had easily killed several Padawans and Knights, along with a master.

"AHHHHH" he yelled as he struck at his Jedi foe with fury and rage. Cutting down his oopponent. Several temple guards had tried to attack from a distance, on an overhang above him. Deflected all incoming lasers, he released a Force Wave that shattered the ledge from which the guards were standing on and the wall around them. The guards died either from the fall or the crushing rubble from above.

As he defected to a seperate hallway, making his way to the upper spires, he entered two Jedi, a knight and a padawan. He quickly charged the two as they switched into defense posistions. With a powerful overhead attack, he overpowered and struck down the Knight. His padawan, enraged, threw himself at Sidus. Terrified, saddened, and seeking revenge, his onslaught was considerable against Sidus.

Sidus then temtpted his opponent with taunts and insults, "Your friend was nothing and never will be nothing! I struck him down like the weakling he was."

"Noooo!" yelled the furious padawan, continueing his onslaught.

"Good young boy! Your rage and anger makes you stronger, more powerful!" shouted Sidus in a triumphant tone. Once a break in his offense was found, Sidus executing a powerful Force Push, senidng the young padawan off a ledge down to a lower coutryard. He landed from a fall of several stories. He was enraged knowing that he wouldn't be able to reach Sidus from where he was, his force powers too underdeveloped to perform such a high jump.

Darth Sidus continued his way up, running through the hallways.

uriel arrived at the main entry hall at the same time as Kaiser and the other knights. Several attackers were still there, but it appeared they had dispersed. There were corpses littering the hall, and spotted the corpse of Master Ulleema and her padawan, Gerad among the fallen.

He approached Blitz and his cadre of knights, shouting orders as he ran.

"Blitz, split into groups and track the intruders. Take them all out! Start here and hunt them all down! dont let yourselves get outnumbered, stay in groups!"

A wounded knight, Makkaila, he thought her name was, limped from shadows and yelled to Uriel

"Master Kelevra, their leader is headed to the upper spires! He killed Master Ulleema and Gerad!"

Uriel turned to the hall leading to the upper spires. With grim determination, he set out after the leader, hoping that defeating him could end this madness. to his surprise, Kaiser followed after him. He nodded to the young knight, letting him know he appreciated the backup.

When the pair got to the first schoolroom they found Ashadda Syl dead. His padawan wasn't there, and Uriel hoped he was safe. He was releived to see that there were no younglings in the room, it appeared Kaiser had done his duty well and evacuated them all.

Burn marks on the walls showed clear signs of a fight going further upward. The scorch marks on the wall were still hot.

Darth Sidus climbed to the very top of the council chambers, only to find it empty. Having spent a minute to catch his breath from quick running, he gazed outside at the surrounding Jedi temple and noticed several smokestacks coming from the main structure below.

"Soon this planet will belong to us? I can't wait until that moment." Darth Sidus said to himself. Hearing the screams and yelling of the battles below. He felt that this day was victorious and that the Fall of the Jedi had begun.

However, his victory wasn't complete. He felt two Jedi coming up the spire towards him. He felt that this one was powerful, a master. Sidus could feel his presence getting closer.

He activated his lightsaber and stood patiently, waiting for his prey.

Uriel slowed as he approached the final chamber, the council hall. He suddenly realised what a mistake it had been to bring allow Kaiser to come. He turned to the knight.

'Kaiser, return to the hall and find the other masters. Inform them that i have tracked the leader of this attack and am engaging him in the council chambers."

"But master, i can help!" Kaiser shouted in protest

"Boy, can you not feel the darkness in that room. All you can do in there is die, and that won't be helping anoyone, now will it!" shouted Uriel. He realized his words had cut the knight more deeply than he had intended. "Kaiser, you have doen well so far, and no doubt saved many lives today with your quick action, but what waits for me in the room is too powerful. I cannot have your blood on my hands. Go, inform the masters and join Blitz and Baysingh, i am sure they could use you far more than I."

Kaiser nodded, understanding the master's concenr, and headed back down the hall.

Uriel held his ignited saber out in front of him and slowly entered the room. The presence inside was more powerful than most of the members of the council. He could feel a cold sensation run up his spine as he and the attacker locked eyes. It was as though he could feel what the intruder was feeling, and right now he was feeling excited. He had been waiting all night for a real challenge. uriel intended to give him far more than he bargained for.

The two meet, eye to eye. Darth Sidus had sensed the other Jedi leave. The atmosphere was very intense. Two very powerful entities stood firm within the tower spire. After a brief stare-down, the two started to walk within a circle, keeping an eye on each other.

Uirel spoke first, "Who are you and your minions? Why have you come here and assaulted our peace?"

Darth Sidus smiled from behind his hood and said, "We are Sith and I am Darth Sidus. We are followers of the Dark Side, and we represent the ultimate force ponteial!"

"Surrender now and you will live to explain your actions!"

Darth Sidus chuckled at the thought and said, "Surrender? What a weak concept. Only the strongest survive. You will learn this lesson soon enough!" Darth yelled and lunged himself at Uriel. His lightsaber high in the air and then moving furiously down on top of Uriel!

The "Sith'" as he called himself, lunged at Uriel, admittedly faster than he had expected, but not faster than he could handle. He blocked the overhand strike and spun to his right, swinging at the man's exposed back. Sidus put his saber behind his back and blocked the strike, turning to face Uriel once again. The sith allowed for no pause in the fighting, immediately renewing his assault.

Uriel dove under neath a mid-height slash and swung for the dark one's legs, but the sith leapt high in the air to avoid the strike, coming down with a powerful downward killing stroke. Uriel Rolled to his left and behind one of the council chairs. He stayed low as the saber passed above his head, carving the seat in half. Uriel kicked the bottom half of the chair forward, using the force to amplify the kick and sending Sidus and the heavy marble throne sliding backward across the floor. Before Uriel had a chance to exploit his advantage the chair was hurled back at him with just as much force.

He slashed the stone in half and raised his saber to block Sidus' attack as he charged behind the flying rock. The two locked sabers and glared at eachother over the sparking blades.

"You cannot beat me, Sith. I am no padawan or young knight. I am the perfect weapon to face you and your kind." Uriel said.

"The Jedi are arrogant and weak!" spat Sidus, the hate clear in his eyes, "Your foolish ways of peace and restraint will be your undoing!"

Uriel grinned at his opponent, confusing him for a moment, before he reared his head back and headbutt the sith in the face, sending Sidus stumbling back.

"You will find me to be un-hindered by such restraints, sith'" Uriel said, "what you have done today is an act of war, and i will match see to it that every action you take is met with just as much ferocity in return"

Sidus looked back at him and smiled, wiping the blood from his mouth. "Then this will be more interesting than i had hoped"

Darth Sidus then stepped back and hands his hands low but open. He focused and concentrated on the spire they were in. The spire was shaking, large cracks were forming below them on the spire thay occupied. Large and visible cracks formed around the circumference of the tower.

The ground shook, the council chamber listed slightly. Darth Sidus looked back at his opponent and smiled, "Your order is at an end!"

Darth Sidus then sent a barrage of Force Lightning towards his foe, only for it to be blocked by Uriel's lightsaber. "I don't think so." said the Jedi Master.

Darth Sidus then became angry and ran towards his opponent, moving for a powerful upper swing of his lightsaber. His attack was deflected, only to quickly strike again, unleashing a ferocious yet precise folley of lightsaber swings and stabs. Uriel managed to block every strike efficiently but not easily. Darth Sidu's attack left no room for counter-attacks and they both knew it. The spire was becoming increasingly unstable as their battle continued.

Uriel felt a gap in Sidus' attack and quickly swung his blade from the side knowing that his attack would strike first. Darth Sidus, having quickly realized his error, performed an amazing acrobatic backflip, enhanced through the force. While in air, he kicked the Jedi Master in the chin and landed several feet away, putting some distance between himelf and Uriel.

As he landed, the ground beneath their feet began to shake once more, it would be only seconds before the spire would collapse. Instead of charging once more, "Your day is at an end, Jedi scum!" He leaped into the air, sprung his hands forward and unleashed a Force Push towards Uriel's feet, propelling Sidus through the window out of the spire.....

Uriel ruched to the window and saw the Sith land ove a hundred feet below. It took intense force control to survive a jump like that, and though Uriel knew he could make the jump, he would be too vulnerable during his jump to risk pursuit from here.

i looked around the chamber and surveyed the damage. The two of them destroyed a good percentage of the chamber, and explosions from below had weakened it. He looked to his seat at the far left side of the council chamber and saw deep gashes from their sabers and a chunk removed from the top left corner. He felt a small pang of guilt when he realised the seat he had destroeyed when he used it to attack the sith with was that of Grand Master Aldaana.

He stalked out of the chamber, knowing it was too unstable. Even without the powerful foes clashing inside, they had done too much damage in their duel. It was bound to collapse soon. The whole room was already tilting toward the courtyard.

As he made his way back to the main hall he heard the spire collapse, no doubt causing huge damage to the courtyard below. He needed answers. He knew his master and pupil had to have been killed by these "sith," but he needed more. Sidus was strong, but he was no leader. He was a blunt force, being manipulated by someone else. He needed to find out who.

As he got to the main hall he saw that the sith were retreating, but the damage was done. Dozens of Jedi were dead, and the temple was thoroughly defiled. As he got to the hall he spotted Blitz battling with two sith and decided to get his answers.

He charged the attackers and Blitz leapt out of his way, making room for the master to strike. Uriel struck like lightning, and immediately forced the sith back several steps. One of them moved to get behind him, but Blitz joined Uriel and soon he had disarmed the intruder. The remaining sith jumped high into the air and landed behind them, the panic evident in his eyes. He hesitated for a moment, locking eyes with his fellow sith, before making a run for the courtyard, the very same one Sidus had landed in minuets before.

Uriel turned his attention to the disarmed sith, who was obviously panicking now. He had lagged too far behind the main force, and now he was paying the price. He reached into a pouch on his belt, but before he could pull the item free Uriel had him in a powerful force choke, dangling a foot from the ground and slamming him against a destroyed column. He dropped the thermal detonator to the floor, which he thankfully hadn't had a chance to arm.

Uriel looked into his eyes and began his interogation.

"Who is your master?' he shouted over the fading sounds of combat in the distance.

"I am Sith, and i serve the dark side!" he spat

Uriel slammed him back into the wall and then the pillar again. Blitz was visibly shocked to see the master treat the intruder so brutally.

"Try again!" Uriel shouted, his patience with the sith clearly not something he wished to be tested on.

"Darth Galacticus!" he shouted, almost cringing as he said the name, as though he feared it would bring him pain. a second later the choke became too much for him, and he passed out

Uriel let him drop to the floor and Blitz moved to subdue him.

Uriel heard a ship in the courtyard, and knew the Sith were likely leaving, and Sidus was probably relishing the carnage he had caused. The council would get all the information they could from the prisoner, but he knew it wouldnt be much. Whoever this "Galicticus" was, the Sith were far more afraid of him than they could possibly be of the council.

As soon as he landed in the courtyard at the base of the soon to crumble spire, he entered several buttons on his tac/net pad holstered on his forearm. "Viper! This is Dark 1, do you copy, over?"

"Read you sir, need a pick-up, over?" said the pilot aboard the Republic transport who was flying casually among Coruscant's traffic.

"I'm uploading you coordinates now. Make sure you are there, over!" replied Darth Sidus as he hurried through the halls.

"Be there in five sir, over." said the pilot as he began his way towards the temple.

"Copy that, out!" replied Darth Sidus who paused for a moment. He began pressing several buttons on his tac/net pad. Every Sith's tac/ugps pad began to buzz upon their forearms. Several characters were shown along with coordinates. They knew where they had to be. Anyone who wasn't engaged with the Jedi began to make their way towards the determined coordinates. Those that were currently fighting either quickly killed their opponent or distracted them long enough to get away.

Darth Sidus and the other Sith all started to meet at the far end of the temple. By then, the republic transport had arrived, hovering in the air while the Sith quickly got aboard. Anyone who wasn't there, was to be left behind and sacrificed for the greater good of the Sith.

Darth Sidus then yelled to the pilot, "Pilot! Let's move! If they aren't here now, they aren't coming at all."

Pilot, "Yes sir."

The Republic began to take off into the atmosphere. Darth Sidus watched the spire where he fought the Jedi Master start to crumble. In the distance, he could see the lights of Coruscanti police forces starting to arrive at the temple. The hatch then closed as they began to head into the upper atmosphere. In space, before any security forces could identify the transport, it blasted in to hyperspace to a destination unknown.

The damage had been done though, while the Sith had lost nearly half of their forces, they killed more Jedi than they suffered in losses. Various plumes of smoke rose from the temple, it's center and main spire was crumbling. In another section of the temple, at the base of another spire, a Sith realized that the transport was away and that he would be captured by the Jedi. He armed his thermal detonator and held it within his hands. He knew he would soon be one with the force. He closed his eyes and let go.... two seconds later, a large explosion that shattered the base of one of the spires. The Sith had caused their damage both physically, and mentally..........

Uriel stalked through the halls as the Jedi scrambled to recover from the attack. All around him he heard cries for help. Coruscant constables rushed through the halls, extinguishing fires and trying to help with the wounded.

The temple was in ruins. Fires burned and two of the spires had collapsed. The Sith had escaped to hyperspace before the constables could track them, but Uriel knew the damage was done. He did his best to assist the wounded, and helped the emergency repair workers stabilize the building, but it was depressing work. No matter where he went in the temple, there was death.

Hours later he felt it. A massive loss of life, hundreds of force-sentives crying out at once. It lasted several hours, and he almost wept to feel the anguish of it. He knew it had to have been another attack, but it all came from one place. it was too large a scale to be another attack like this. This was the death of a world. The Sith had made their move. He had to try his best to make sure the Jedi and republic reacted appropriately.
